Donald R. Wilke, 74, of the Town of Green Lake, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 23, 1997 at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born December 22, 1922, in Ripon, a son to the late Reinhardt and Ella (Splittgerber) Wilke. He was a graduate of Ripon High School. In September 1960, he married the former Florene Ketteler. Don farmed all his life on the farm that he was born and raised on. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Mark Wilke of Ripon, and David (Tern) Wilke of Brandon and their children, Sean and Nichole. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Florene in 1970, and his sister, Lois Wilke in 1997.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 27, 1997, at 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Reverend James D. Mohr officiating. Friends may call Monday from 3:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon on Tuesday, October 28, 1997, at 10 AM. A Memorial has been established.
