Donna Jean Wetzel, age 48, of Ripon, died unexpectedly Monday morning, March 5, 2001, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born November 23, 1952, in Ripon, the daughter of Elton R. and Roselyn (Hoffman) Wetzel. She was educated in Ripon and graduated from Ripon Senior High School in 1971. Donna was a self-employed artist, and had lived in Ripon most of her life. She was a member of lmmanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.
Survivors include her mother, Roselyn Wetzel of Ripon; 2 sisters, Linda (Michael) Vesper of Grayslake, IL and Marsha Palmer of Franklin, WI; 3 brothers, Robert Wetzel, Thomas Wetzel of Adams and Richard (Lorna) Wetzel of Ripon; nieces & nephews, Dan, Sam, Noah, Kaitlvn, Ben and Lauren Wetzel, and Christopher Palmer; aunts, uncle; and best friend, Linda Mueller. Her father, Elton Wetzel preceded her in death in 1995.
Funeral service for Donna Jean Wetzel will be Friday, March 9, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend David A. Busker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 until 1 p.m. at the church. Cremation will take place. A memorial has been established.
