Donny Ray Ladwig, age 54, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Don was born on May 8, 1954, in McKinney, TX, the son of Gene and Doris (Bush) Ladwig. He graduated from Green Lake High School. In 1999, he married Ann Roesch in Green Lake. Don was a successful owner operator of a variety of business’; Show Down Corral Bar, Future Electronics, Audio Plus of Ripon, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Rhinelander. He had a love for the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing and the Green Bay Packers. He was a collector of Brett Farve Memorabilia and Native American Art. Don was a loving father and husband, caring family man and always had a joke for someone. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Ladwig; Son, Elliot (fiancé Melissa Kissinger) Ladwig of Fond du Lac; daughters, Haley and Katelyn Ladwig of Ripon; father, Gene Ladwig of Green Lake; mother, Doris Ladwig of Fond du Lac; sisters, Beverly Sandberg of Minocqua, WI and Patty (Greg) Roth of Green Lake; brother, Kenneth Ladwig of Green Lake; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Emily, Eric, Natalie, Victor, Melissa, Lesley, Andrew and Jolene; grand nieces and nephews, Grace, Luam, Victor Jr. Myles, Braxton, Isaac, Samuel, Anna and Hank; uncle, Roger Ladwig; cousins, Lee and LuAnn Ladwig; father and mother-in-law, John and Celia Roesch Sr. of Ripon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary (George) Barbiere of Cincinnati, OH, Barbara Schmidt of Oostburg, WI, Karen (Al) Haskell of Oconomowoc, WI, John (Susan) Roesch Jr. of Ripon, Paula (Jerry) Paulson; nieces and nephews-in-law, Rhonda, Mindy, Richard, Nicole, Hilary, Ashley, Alison, John III, Dylan, Tiffany, David, Tiffany, Brittany and Kristina; great niece and nephew-in-law, Skyler and Jasmine, further survived by his children’s mother, Heidi (Bischoff) Schwanke, as well as Gordon and Joan Bischoff and Brutis, his dog. Don is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon and Clara Ladwig and George and Minnie Lea, cousin, Loren and mother-in-law, Kathryn Roesch.
Visitation for Don Ladwig will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Memorial Service for Don Ladwig will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Inurnment will take place on a later date. A memorial has been established.
