Dora Della Doepke, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Continental Manor in Randolph.
She was born October 16, 1903, to Herman and Anna (Kobernik) Deibert in the Town of Brooklyn. Dora completed her education in the Little Red School House. She married Gustave Doepke on October 26, 1930, and lived in Beloit, Princeton and Green Lake as a devoted spouse and housewife.
Dora will be remembered as a loving and nuturing mother of her family, a wonderful seamstress, bread baker, card player, and for her willingness to share plants from her beautiful flowering gardens. Mrs. Doepke was active in Highway 23 Homemakers, Peace Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, and Green Lake Lionettes.
Mrs. Doepke is survived by children and their spouse, Gustave and Janice Doepke of Scotia, NY, Joyce Carden of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Karel and Bill Hauser of Anchorage, AK. Granddaughters, Kathryn Ehmann, Karla Critchfield, Kandy Pinter, Ann Scharfenberg, Suzanne Doepke Dahms, and Donna Hauser. Grandsons, Patrick Carden, Steve, Thomas, & Philip Doepke Jr., and William G. Hauser. Great-grandsons, Zachary & Nathaniel Ehmann, and Zebron Dahms; great-granddaughters, Hannah Critchfield, Marny Ehmann, Kailey & Emily Pinter, Lindsey, Lauren & Kelsey Scharfenberg, and Anne Doepke; and sister, Ella Heidel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Anna Deibert; husband, Gustave Doepke, Sr.; sons, Ervin & Philip Doepke, Sr.; granddaughter, Deborah Carden; and brothers, Daylert & Edward Deibert.
Funeral service for Mrs. Dora Doepke will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with Pastor Rodney E. Dietsche officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials in her name may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, Continental Manor, or the charity of ones choice.
