Dora Elie Meyer, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away Monday, July 20, 1987, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
Dora was born January 18, 1903, in the Town of Lamartine, WI, the daughter of Fredrich and Amelia (Erdmann) Hintz. She was educated in Eldorado and married John Meyer on October 14, 1925 in the Town of Eldorado. Dora was a housewife and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Brandon and charter member of Willowlane Homemakers.
Survivors include her husband, John Meyer of Ripon, WI; one son, Alton of Ripon, WI; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Dorraine) Heitmann of Markesan, WI; nine grandchildren, five step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren and one brother, Clarence Hintz of Rosendale, WI. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Dora will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 1987, from 4 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, then again Thursday, July 23, 1987, 10 – 11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon.
Funeral Service for Dora will be held on Thursday, July 23, 1987, at 11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon with The Reverend Greg Turinetti will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established for the church.
