Dora Ziesmer

Dora Wilhelmina Ziesmer, 89, of 304 Washington St. Ripon, died Monday October 16, 1995, at Ripon Medical Center.

Mrs. Ziesmer was born on December 13, 1905 in Ripon the daughter of Mr. Gustav and Mary (Stindt) Hammerling. She attended Ripon Public Schools, graduating in 1923. Dora also attended Fond du Lac Rural Normal and became a Public School teacher, she taught Wilson School in the town of Rosendale for four years and one year at the Two Mile School at Wisconsin Rapids. Mrs. Ziesmer also work in the I.G.A. Grocery store and for the Bread Basket Bakery before retiring in 1970. Dora was a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. On Oct. 2, 1929 Dora married Harry Ziesmer and they lived on a farm in the vicinity of Pickett.

Dora is Survived by 1 Daughter in Law, Barbara Ziesmer of Port Edwards, 2 granddaughters Ann (Doug) Hamann of Wisconsin Rapids, and Jill (Paul) Stanislewskis of North Carolina. Six great—grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Ray and a granddaughter Kay.

Funeral services for the late Dora Ziesmer will be held Thursday Oct. 19, 1995 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Richard Collier will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday Oct. 18, 1995 from 5 to 7 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
