Doris Brooks

Mrs. Doris May Brooks, 70, of 531 South St., Green Lake, died Monday, May 15, 1989, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah.

She was born February 14, 1919, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to Harry and Fannie Furry Scarem. On October 7, 1950, she married John A. Brooks.

Mrs. Brooks was educated in Ohio. She had been a secretary for Radio Free Europe. Since 1950 she has resided in Green Lake and was a member of The Green Lake Federated Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, John W. Brooks and Michael Brooks, both of Green Lake and one daughter, Wendy Brooks of Ripon. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 1989, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Dwight Bastian will officiate. Cremation will follow.

There will be no visitation; however, the family will receive friends from 1:15 pm until the hour of services at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.
