Doris Deibert

The Lord has called home the soul of Doris Helen Deibert, age 73, of Fond du Lac, who died January 16, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

She was born December 6, 1926, in Raymond, SD, a daughter of William and Helene (Balster) Mehlberg. Doris was educated in Raymond and Mobridge, SK, and Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. She taught school, then later worked as a waitress and served her family as a mother and housewife. She currently was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, but had also worshipped God during her life at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Raymond, SD; Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kiel, WI; and Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Lake, WI.

Survivors include her daughter, Karla (Lee) Masek of Green Lake; sons, David (Martha) Deibert of Menomonee Falls, Mark (Cherie) Deibert of Fond du Lac, and Tom Deibert of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Stacy (Tom) Bernd of Madison, Bethany (Mark) Andersen of Oshkosh, and Sara, Rachel & Jennifer Deibert of Fond du Lac; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Andersen and Alexis Deibert; brother, Roland (Edna) Mehlberg of New Ulm, MN; sister-in-law, Nina Mehlberg of Clark, SD, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Clara and Ruth; brothers, Alfred, Bill and Herb; and infant son, Charles.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2000, at 11:30 am at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. A private committal service will be held for the family at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established in her name.
