Doris Mary (Alf) Klingbail, 72, of Ripon, WI, formerly of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, June 14, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
She was born December 9, 1928, in Oshkosh, a daughter to Emil and Veronica (Lipinski) Lierman. Doris attended school in Berlin. She had worked at the Fond du Lac Reporter for 31 years and was a supervisor. On September 4, 1999, she married Edward F. Klingbail, Jr. She had been a member of the United Church of Christ in Fond du Lac, but since her marriage had attended Our Saviour’s United church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Klingbail of Ripon; one daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Vander Zanden of Theresa; and three grandchildren, Johnnie Oosterhous of St. Cloud, Connie (Scott) Olson of Fond du Lac and Lyn (Aaron) Krebs of IL. Preceding her in death were one daughter, Nancy; parents; one brother, Robert and one sister, Nancy.
Funeral service for Doris M. Klingbail will be 11 am on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 – 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 10 – 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established for Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
