Doris Kohls, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center.
Doris was born on July 14, 1928, Ripon, WI, the daughter of John and Minnie (Nickoli) Johnson. She attended Ripon High School. Doris married George Kohls on March 2, 1944. She attended Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Portz, of Ripon, WI, Jean (Bob) Bahn of Berlin, WI, Joan (Richard) Volkmann of Mercedes, TX, Luann (Lee) Potratz of Bellville, WI, Susan (Steven) Peachy of Rosendale, WI, Nancy (Robert) Fowler of Ripon, WI, Kathleen (Keefe) Robinson of Brighton, CO; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Rachael Dornbrook of Fond du Lac, WI, Josephine Medicke of Neillsville, WI. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George; son, David Kohls; daughter-in-law, Diane Kohls; grandson, Christopher Kohls and son-in-law Frederick Portz.
Memorial visitation for Doris Kohls will be held on Wednesday, September, 26, 2012, from 1-2 PM at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home 515 Mayparty Drive Ripon, WI, 54971.
Memorial service for Doris Kohls will be held on Wednesday, September, 26, 2012, at 2 PM at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Reverend Gary Miller will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale.
