Doris Rautmann

Doris E. Rautmann, age 94, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Kindred Hearts in Plymouth.

Doris Eleanor Witthuhn was born on June 29, 1924, in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Ernst and Frieda (Bowen) Witthuhn. On February 3, 1945, Doris married Allen W. Rautmann, and they enjoyed 73 years together before he passed away on March 25, 2018. Doris and Allen had two sons, Steven and Ronald, who they took on many trips as they grew as a family. She was a loving homemaker and wife. Doris would help run her husband's business, Al's Heating Sales, by taking care of the bookkeeping, payroll, and other important office duties. She loved singing country music and beautiful hymns, and enjoyed square dancing with her husband. In their later years, Doris and Allen took many wonderful trips together as a couple. Allen died 15 days after his birthday and Doris died 15 days after her birthday.

Doris is survived by her son, Steven (Mary) Rautmann of Sheboygan, WI; three grandchildren, Michele (John) Gillett of Mount Vernon, WI, David (Christine) Rautmann of Sheboygan, WI, and James (Ashton) Rautmann of Minneapolis, MN; ten great-grandchildren: Philip, Mary, Andrew, Monica, Margaret, Teresa, and Anna Gillette, Madelyn, Grace, and Aiden Rautmann; sister-in-law Marie Fessler; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Allen Rautmann; parents Ernst and Frieda Witthuhn; son, Ronald; sister, Lorraine (Otto) Selke; a brother, Ray (Mary) Witthuhn; and brother-in-law, Alfred Fessler.

A private family service for Doris will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Entombment will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan, WI. The family would like to thank Kindred Hearts Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for their loving care of Doris. A memorial is being established.
