Doris Lilian Rupnow, age 92, of Ripon, died Saturday morning, May 12, 2001, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born September 24, 1908, in the Town of Fox Lake, Dodge Co., WI, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (nee Buchholtz) Miller. She graduated from Fox Lake High School and Oshkosh Business College. Doris was employed as a secretary at Barlow Seelig (Speed Queen) in Ripon. On June 11, 1938, she was married to Robert W. Bob Rupnow at Fox Lake by Reverend Paul Kehle. Mrs. Rupnow was a homemaker and a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon and the Womens Guild. She was a former Sunday School Teacher and choir member and participated in altar guild, reading circle and sewing circle.
She will be sadly missed by husband, Robert; two daughters, Donna (Eugene Zeke) Everding of Janesville and Doreen (Tom) Badtke of Amery and Rosendale; five grandchildren, DeeAnn (Joe) Donahue of Stevens Point, Jeff (Jean) Badtke of Oshkosh, Matthew (Joan hackbarth) Badtke of Westfield, Kimberly (Peter) Haakenson of Ebensville and Corey (Erin OConnor) Badtke of Amery; and three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Donahue of Stevens Point and Erin and Andrew Badtke of Oshkosh. One of her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service for Doris Lilian Rupnow will be Thursday, May 17, 2001, at 2 pm at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend Rebecca A. Johnston and Reverend Harold Gluth officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripona and again on Thursday from 1 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
