Doris Helen Sales, age 85, of Parma, Ohio, formerly of Rosendale, WI died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Olmsted Township, Ohio.
Doris was born on January 8, 1922 in Rosendale, WI the Daughter of Henry and Dora (Zinke) Vollbrecht. She graduated from Rosendale High School and from Oshkosh Normal with a 2 years teacher’s degree. Doris was a teacher in Rosendale for 3 years and on June 10, 1944 she married Roger L. Sales at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, WI where she was a member from 1922 to 1995 when she moved to Ohio and was a member of Cuyahoga Valley Church, Broadview Heights, Ohio.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Sales of Oshkosh, WI, daughter, Joan (Thomas) Wright of Parma, Ohio, and grandchildren; Joseph Hall, Rhonda Hall, Lisa (Bruce) Weaver and three great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger Sales and two sisters; Iva Henning and Margaret DeCramer.
A Memorial Service for Doris H. Sales will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Wright officiating. Inurnment will be in Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale.
