Doris Stracy

Doris M. Stracy, age 74, of Ripon, passed away on July 12, 2009, at Michalene’s in Ripon, WI.

Doris was born on December 11, 1934, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Louis and Jessie (Hazen) Quade. She graduated from Brandon High School and then married Donald Stracy at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Doris became a surgical technician at Ripon Hospital, she worked at R-Line Foods in Ripon, and also owned The Corner Beverage Mart in Nekoosa. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.

Survivors include four children, Patty (Bernie) Dobrowolski of Ripon, WI, Richard (Barbara) Stracy of Ripon, WI, George Stracy of Overland Park, KS., and Kim (Bill) Jaeger of Waupun, WI; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebecca, Thomas, Robert, Kyle, Maegan, and Cavin; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jesslyn.

Visitation for Doris Stracy will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 4 pm – 7:00 pm with the Funeral Service to follow at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St. Ripon, WI 54971.

Graveside Service for Doris Stracy will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 9:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery. Reverend Mark R. West will be officiating. A memorial has been established in her name.
