Doris Soda Wallace, age 86 of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center.
She was born in Ixonia, WI, on February 2, 1928, the daughter of Ernst and Ida (Miller) Blank. Doris was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Ripon, WI, all her life. On June 10, 1947 she married George Soda. She and George farmed for 34 years. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1987. Doris later married John Wallace, February 2, 1991. He passed away on September 16, 2014.
Survivors include one son, Thomas (Dorothy) Soda; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Wellnitz, Denice (Michael) Koehl, Timothy (Margaret) Soda; five great grandchildren, Rachael DeLost, Brittany DeLost, Andrew Soda, Grace Wellnitz and Andrew Wellnitz; three step children, Robert and William Wallace and Barbara Hollar and two brothers, Melvin and Howard Blank. Besides her parents, Doris is preceded in death by four sisters, Sylvia, Iris, Liela, Frances, and one brother.
Private family visitation for Doris will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Private family liturgy of the word will also be held Monday, January 19, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in the town of Ripon.
