Doris Wittchow, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Maplecrest Assisted Living in Ripon.
Doris was born on August 14, 1924, in Green Lake, the daughter of Earl and Katherine (Crook) Walker. She graduated from Ripon High School and in 1942, Doris married Harold Wittchow in Green Lake. Doris was a charter member and in the Messiah Lutheran Women’s Guild at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. She was also a member of the VFW Axillary and the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her three children, Judith Hanrahan of Bradenton, FL, Linda (Jack) Duff of Beloit, WI and Randy (La Verne) Wittchow of Ripon, WI; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation for Doris Wittchow will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012, from 10 – 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Doris Wittchow will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012, at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial is being established.
