Dorothy Theresa Albrecht, age 91, died Tuesday evening, December 5, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born April 23, 1909, in Ripon, a daughter to Frank and Theresa (Peschke) Gruetzmacher. Dorothy received her schooling in Ripon. On April 22, 1931, she married Harry Albrecht at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon. She worked as a seamstress at the Ripon Knitting Works for 35 years. Mrs. Albrecht was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include her son, William (Pat) Albrecht of Ripon; grandson, Gerald (Amy) Albrecht of Mission, TX; granddaughters, Joan Albrecht of Oshkosh and Jean (Greg) Laverty of Greenfield; great.grandchildren, Alex and Kaitlyn Albrecht; and sisters, Evelyn Luther of Ripon and Lorraine (Ambrose) Wick of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, parents, brothers, Frank, William and Andrew Gruetzmacher; and sisters, Ruth Gruetzmacher and Loretta Bartol.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2000, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
