Dorothy P. Berg, age 89, formerly of Markesan, died June 8, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born on March 26, 1911, the daughter of Carl and Helena Schwanke Heitmann. She graduated in 1929 from Markesan High School. She married Harry Berg on June 22, 1933, and they farmed on the Mackford Prairie. Dorothy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include 1 son, Harris Berg of Portage; 2 granddaughters, Lisa Buchholz of Fond du Lac and Lori (David) Brown of Appleton; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Brown; 1 brother, Glenn Heitmann, Sr. of Markesan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
Visitation and services will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hwy 23 & 49, West of Ripon on Wednesday, June 14, 2000. Visitation from 6 PM, with Reflection of Life at 7:30 PM with Reverend Clifton Sleger, officiating. lnurnment will follow in the Fairwater Cemetery.
