Dorothy H. Chartres, age 98, of Green Lake, died Friday, March 12, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born April 10, 1900, in Merrill, WI, a daughter to Elious and
Anna (Cotey) Gould. She attended Steven’s Point Normal and St. Luke’s
Nursing School in Chicago. Dorothy was a registered nurse for Nabisco
National Biscuit Co. She married James Chartres in Chicago in 1926, and
live in Oakbrook, IL prior to moving to Green Lake. She was a member of
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake.
She is survived by 1 sister, Margaret (Dale) Frye of Montello; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Florence Sullivan, and 3 brothers, Leo, John and Raymond Gould.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Lake, Green Lake with Father Joseph Schlaefer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the hour of the mass at the church. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
