Dorothy M. Ewald, age 100, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon.
Dorothy was born January 11, 1913, in Ingalls, MI, the daughter of Peter and Josephine (Deacine) Gunville. She attended grade school in Ingalls and went through high school in Stevenson, MI. In 1932, she married Gustave Michael Lambert and he passed away in 1955. She later married Ardin Ewald in 1986 and he passed away in 1991. Dorothy worked as a cook at Ripon College for 43 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon and the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Ripon.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Betty Lambert of Ripon, WI; two grandchildren, Cathy (Steve) Mlodzik of Ripon, WI and Steve (Lynn) Lambert of Green Lake, WI; five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Sean, Niki, Joe and Mandy; six great-great-grandchildren, Cameron, Katie, Riely, Laylin, Lucy and Autumn and sister, Mary Agnus Hoglund of Stevenson, MI. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Gustave and Ardin; one son, Robert Lambert; great-grandchild, Kristi and step-great-grandchild, Anthony and sister, Stella Zahn.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, from 9 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
