Dorothy Ernestine Grams, age 94, of 80 Tabbert Ave., Ripon, died Tuesday morning, January 31, 2006, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born July 1, 1911, the daughter of John G. and Ernestine (Zimmerman) Huth. She was educated in the Berlin/Rush Lake Schools. She was married February 24, 1934, to Alfred Emil Grams. Dorothy had been a school house teacher in Rush Lake, and worked for 42 years at Rippin’ Foods as a tour guide from 1936 to 1978. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Terry (Lynn) Mathias of Ripon, Sharon Grams of Berlin, Tom (Jackie) Grams of Green Lake, Judy (Dave) Bryden of Green Lake, and Mike Grams of Berlin; 10 great-grandchildren, Tracy (Ron) Ploeckelman, Tiffany (Bob) Quast, Jacob and Jeremiah Grams, Chad and Kurt Bryden, Corey VandeBrink, Calvin Grams, Alex and Joey Grams; 6 great-great-grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Ploeckelman, Jaden and Kellen Quast, Payton Bryden and Sierra Bryden; many nieces and nephews; and ex-daughter-in-law, Roberta Grams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred of 71 years on October 31, 2005, her parents, 1 son, Arlyn Grams, 1 grandson, John Grams, 1 great-granddaughter, Fawn Grams, and 1 brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Lillian Huth.
Funeral service for Dorothy E. Grams will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. The Rev. Alan F. Schaffmeyer will officiate. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. Memorial has been established.
