Dorothy Martha Lieske, age 85, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Marvin’s Manor in Brandon.
Dorothy was born on September 16, 1922, in Pickett, WI, the daughter of William and Hannah (Kroll) Schlaack. She attended school in Pickett and Ripon. On February 20, 1943, she married Robert Lieske in Pickett. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed many numerous part time jobs including, Ripon Award Jackets and Pearls House of fashion. Dorothy was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, Senior choir, Women’s Guild, Married Couples Club, a Sunday school teacher, Lake Aries chorus and a 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, furnishing cookies for the family, gardening, and helping anyone in need.
Survivors include, her husband, Robert Lieske of Ripon; Sons, Gary (Cheri) Lieske of Ripon, John (Nancy) Lieske of Neshkoro and James (Lynnette) Lieske of Ripon; 9 grandchildren, Jackie (Russ) Bogucke of Ripon, Kevin (Sarah) Lieske of Ripon, John R. Lieske Jr. of Oshkosh, Mark (Niki) Lieske of Oshkosh, Heidi (Kevin) Behnke of Black Creek, WI, Amy (James) Thomas of Oshkosh, Patrick, Michelle and Ashley Lieske all of Ripon; 11 great grandchildren, Johanna, Mitchell, Zachery, Rebecca, Andrew, Declan, Anna, Tyler, Ian, Benjamin and Madisyn; 1 sister, Jean Keith of Ripon and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her 2 children, Barbara Jean and Claire Frederick, her parents, 1 brother, Wilbert and 2 sisters, Doris and Jeannette.
Visitation for Dorothy Lieske will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 9:00- 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Dorothy Lieske will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will be held in Loper Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
