Dorothy Nehls, age 97, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Michalene’s in Ripon.
Dorothy was born on January 14, 1914, in Ripon, the daughter of Ira and Molly (Fletcher) Dunham, Sr. She graduated from Ripon High School and on December 26, 1936, Dorothy married Wilbur “Sally” Nehls. Dorothy was a secretary at Ripon Foods and was a member of the Eastern Star and attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her nephew, Gordy (Lu Lu) Dunham of Larsen, WI and several great nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband on September 18, 1984 and three brothers, Ira Jr., Albert and Edward Dunham.
Visitation for Dorothy Nehls will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011, from 1 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Dorothy Nehls will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Paul Nulton will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be given to Michalene’s Activity Fund, 530 Union St. Ripon, WI 54971.
