Dorothy Nimmer, age 88 of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, passed away Friday, October 9, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
Dorothy was born on August 21, 1910, the daughter of Roy and Lucinda (Ballard) Scribner, in the township of Rosendale. She graduated from Rosendale High School. On September 26, 1930, she married Leslie Nimmer and was a housewife. Dorothy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon and a member of their Ladies Aid and AARP.
She is survived by one son; Don (Audrey) Nimmer of Mellen, WI, four grandsons; Doug (Catherine) Nimmer of Eau Claire, WI, Dennis (Jill) Nimmer of Ripon, Chuck Nimmer of Clyde, CA and Jody (Wendy) Nimmer of Rosendale, nine great-grandchildren; Jesse (Wendy) Nimmer, Bobbie Gail, Katrina, Danielle, Nicholas, Nathan, Charles, Calvin, Tracy, and one great great-Grandson; Chandler Nimmer. She is preceded by her husband, Leslie and one sister Violet Filitz, and her parents.
Friends may call on Monday October 12, 1998, from l:00 PM until the time of service at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 12, 1998, at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosendale Cemetery.
