Dorothy R. Schroeder, 77, of 717 Thorne St, Ripon, passed away Friday morning, September 16, 2005, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

She was born September 18, 1927, in Bradley Beach, New Jersey, the daughter of Robert Mason and Hilda (Gilbert) Van Note. Dorothy attended school in Bradley Beach. On September 23, 1951, she married Ralston Lewis Schroeder in Bradley Beach, and they have made their home in Ripon since 1951. Dorothy was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Ralston Schroeder of Ripon; 2 daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Waller of Brookfield and Vickie (David) Brink of Ripon; 2 sons, Richard (Colleen) Schroeder of Markesan and Russell (Mary) Schroeder of Oshkosh; 6 grandchildren, Laura Waller of Minneapolis, MN, William Waller and Stephanie Waller, both of Brookfield, WI, Grant (Trisha) Ninneman and Loretta (Allen) Tonn, both of Ripon, and Emily Schroeder of Markesan; 2 great-grandchildren, Brenna and Brooklyn Tonn of Ripon; and 1 brother, Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 6 sisters

A memorial service for Dorothy R. Schroeder will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon. The Reverend Paul W. Nulton will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-6 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be in Center House Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. Memorials can be directed to St. Agnes Hospice Hope or VFW Auxiliary of Ripon.
