Dorothy May Slate, age 85, of Ripon, WI, died at Parkview Care Center, Ripon on July 8, 1995 .
Dorothy was born in Chicago, IL on April 30, 1910, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Hall) Frank. She married William R. Slate, Sr. on May 15, 1930, in Chicago. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1948, where her husband was owner/manager of several service stations. In 1970, they retired and moved to the Green Lake/Ripon area. Mr. Slate died in 1976. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
She is survived by two sons, William R. (Joan) Slate of Markesan and Kenneth H. (Rosalie) Slate of Ripon; six grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, Richard, Rosanne, Mark and David Slate; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Alexander Slate; one sister, Ruth Heard of IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John; one grandson, William; one sister, Jean and one brother, William.
Funeral Service for the late Dorothy Slate will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend James. D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
