Dorothy C. Troester, age 88, of Ripon, passed away on April 24, 2009, at Jack and Ingrid Meng “Unity Hospice House” in De Pere, WI.

Dorothy was born on September 26, 1920, in Ripon, the daughter of Albert and Lucille (Fochs) Wahoske. She graduated from Ripon High School and on July 4, 1940, she married Arthur Troester. Dorothy was a housewife and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Michael) Jerry of Green Bay; one son, Thomas (Suzanne) Troester of Chillicothe, OH; two sisters, Delores (Tony) Matern of CO, Barbara Troudt of Ripon; one brother, Jim (Harriet) Wahoske of Ripon; two grand-daughters Nicole (Wes) Harber of Chillicothe, OH and Jennifer Jerry of Minneapolis, MN; two grandsons, John Jerry of Minneapolis, MN and Tim (Carrie) Troester Worthington, OH; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Harber of Chillicothe, OH. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur; and two sisters, Rosmary Ustruck and Betty Burton.

Visitation for Dorothy Troester will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009, from 4-7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, from 10 – 11:00 am at St. Cathrine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St. in Ripon.

Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Troester will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at 11:00 am at St. Cathrine of Siena Catholic Church, 415, E. Fond du Lac St. in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will be officiating. A memorial has been established in Dorothy’s name.
