Dorothy Vander Wal

Dorothy M. Vander Wal, age 80, of Brandon, WI, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at her home.

Dorothy was born April 11, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Frank and Matilda (Martin) Massem. She graduated from high school and on May 8, 1954, Dorothy married Tuenis Vander Wal. She worked in the press shop at Speed Queen in Ripon and tended bar for Walker’s Restaurant in Green Lake. Dorothy enjoyed her visits to Miller’s Tavern and Leahy’s Rustic Inn with friends.
Survivors include her four children, Dawn (Dale) Henning and Trenton (Lisa) Vander Wal both of Brandon, WI, Desiree (Dave) Duffy-Vander Wal of Los Angeles, CA and Dacey (Dave) Villarreal of Bakersfield, CA; six grandchildren, Bret and Shea Henning, McKayla Vander Wal, Austin Alft, Mandy Stracy and Bree Vander Wal; three great-grandchildren, Avry and Drew Henning and Samuel Stracy and one sister, Lois (Jerry) Abitz of Milwaukee, WI. Dorothy was preceded by her parents, husband, Tuenis; son, Tuenis; grandson, Coy and three brothers, Howard, Donald and Frank.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, June 22, 2015, from 4 – 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Prayer Service for Dorothy will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial is being established in Dorothy’s name.
