Dorthea Frieda Brown, age 43, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 1954, at the Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison.
Dorthea was born April 27, 1910, in Green Lake County, WI, the daughter of William and Selma (Werdin) Crook. She was educated in the Green Lake and Ripon public schools. On May 1, 1928, she married Harry Clarke Brown. Dorthea worked at Ripon Knitting Works.
Survivors include two sons, Leslie and Donald and three daughters, Mrs. Helen Penke, Janette and Harriett and her mother, Mrs. Selma Werdin all of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her father in 1914 and her husband who died in 1947.
Friends may call on Monday, March 8, 1954, after 12:00 noon at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Dorthea will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1954, at 2:30 pm at The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon with The Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will take place in Montello Cemetery in Montello, WI.
