Dr. E. Thomas Marquardt

Dr. E. Thomas Marquardt, age 66, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015, at home in the presence of his family.
Thomas was born January 17, 1949, in Oak Park, IL, the son of Earl Clifford and Ruth Frieda (Schanoske) Marquardt. He graduated from Northwestern University, Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completed his residency at Northwestern University Hospital. On November 24, 1979, Thomas married Lesa Voe Williams in Epworth, GA. Thomas loved his family dearly and treasured every moment with them. He also had an incredible passion for fishing. He was an accomplished Orthopedic Surgeon, touching many lives in his 35 year career. Dr. E. Thomas Marquardt was a member of the American Academy of Orthopedics and many other organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Lesa Marquardt of Green Lake, WI; daughter, Sally Lynn (William) Marquardt Skuster from Salt Lake City, UT; sons, Earl Todd (Diane) Marquardt of Waunakee, WI, Jonathan Thomas (Megan) Marquardt also of Waunakee, Justin (Traci) Thomas Marquardt of Hinsdale, IL, and Jacob Thomas Marquardt of Chicago; grandsons, Colton William Skuster and Nolan Matthew Skuster both of Salt Lake City, UT, Earl Hayes Marquardt, Declan Bridger Marquardt and Blake Thomas Marquardt all of Waunakee, WI; granddaughter, Elle Judith Marquardt also of Waunakee; mother, Ruth Frieda Schanoske Marquardt of Lombard, IL; sisters, Barbara Marquardt Clancy of Elmhurst, IL, and Susan Marquardt Jensen of Belvidere, IL. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Earl Clifford Marquardt.
Visitation for Dr. E. Thomas Marquardt will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015, from 4 – 6:00 p.m. at the family’s residence in Green Lake, 545 Illinois Ave., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Funeral Service for Dr. E. Thomas Marquardt will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., P.O. Box 471, Green Lake, WI 54941. Pastor Don Zimmerman, Pastor Neil Wilson, and Reverend Karen Gygax-Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in the City of Green Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter, 3333 N. Mayfair Road, Suite 213, Wauwatosa, WI 53222, or the The ALS Association MN/ND/SD, Chapter333, North Washington Ave., Suite 105, Minneapolis, MN 55401 made out in his honor.
