Duane Henriksen

Duane G. Henriksen, age 75, of Markesan, passed away on July 29, 2009, in Rice Lake, WI, on his way home from a fishing trip in Canada.

Duane was born on October 29, 1933, in Neshkoro, the son of Raymond and Lila (Stevens) Henriksen. He attended Adams-Friendship High School and in the year 1953, Duane married the love of his life, Amelia “Amy” Lovelace. He worked as a licensed cheese maker at Alto Cheese Factory and was also a member of the National and Wisconsin Trappers Association. Duane also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Amy; two daughters, Judy (Thomas) Heitmann of Waupun and Debbie (David) Hahn of Markesan; one son, Alan (Becky) Henriksen of Markesan; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene (Ralph)Roller of Dellwood, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Duane is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Henriksen and a son, Gordon Henriksen.

Visitation for Duane Henriksen will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral service for Duane Henriksen will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 1:00 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. A memorial has been established in his name.
