Duran M. Wetzel, age 42, of Ripon, WI, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born November 11, 1957, in Ripon, a son to William and Kathryne Faye (Walker) Wetzel. He was a graduate of Ripon High School, and on September 26, 1980, he married Connie Altwies. He attended Trinity Evangelical Free Church. Duran had lived in Ripon all his life.
He is survived by his wife, Connie (Altwies) Wetzel; son, Michael Wetzel; daughter, Amber Wetzel; one brother, Duane (Susan) Wetzel of Ripon; two sisters, Diann (Stan) Latacha of Knoxville, TN and Debra (Gordon) Steele of Appleton; nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service for Duran Wetzel will be Saturday, August 5, 2000, at 11 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with the Reverend David Busker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 – 7:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
In this world, there is never enough time to say good-bye, and there is never enough time to share with those we love. Even though we would never want to let you go, we knew the time had come. We will love you always…’til we meet again.
