Duwayne Meilahn

DuWayne R. Meilahn, 81, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday morning February 28, 2001, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
DuWayne was born on June 1, 1919, in Fond du Lac County the son of Evaline Meilahn. He attended Ripon Country school, Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, and graduated from Oshkosh Teacher College. DuWayne was a High School English teacher in Brandon, he was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett and the Golden Titan of UW Oshkosh.
Survivors include several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 3, 2001 at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, with Pastor Russell W. Kloehn officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the church. Memorials can be given to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in his name. Burial will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett.
