Dwight Clausen

Dwight Leslie Clausen, age 83, of Ripon, died Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Agnesian Health Care in Fond du Lac.

He was born on February 19, 1915, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, a son to Chris and Helen (Hinz) Clausen, and the family moved to Ripon in 1919. Dwight attended school in Ripon and was a graduate of Ripon High School. On June 4, 1938, he married Laura Schroeder. He farmed most of his life and was a member of Farm Bureau, and a former member of Ripon I.O.O.F. #144.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Clausen of Ripon; 2 daughters, Jeanette Clausen of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Joan (William) Kiggens of Ripon; 2 sons, James (Cynthia) Clausen and Donald (Debra) Clausen of Ripon; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren other relatives & friends; and a special friend, Lois Buehring. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Eldor Clausen, and 1 sister, Margaret Schmidt.

Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 1999, from 5 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Burnard officiating. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon.
