Earl "Grandpa" Christensen

Earl H. “Grandpa” Christensen, age 94, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Friday, September 11, 1992, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 25, 1898, in Chicago, IL, the son of Christ and Johana Christensen. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Armour Institute and was employed as a mechanical engineer at Western Electric in Chicago. He married Eva Marcini in August of 1937. She preceded him in death in 1949.
Mr. Christensen has lived in the Town of Green Lake since 1988. He was a member of the Green Lake Senior Citizens, an active member of Seniors Bowling at Plaza Bowl in Ripon, and was a past member of the Masonic Lodge. Earl was an active gardener and golfer.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Jean Wilson and her husband Dennis of Green Lake, with whom he made his home; and four grandchildren, Chuck and his wife Sue, and David all of Chicago, Cindy Christensen of Wheaton, IL and Linda Christensen of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva and one son, Roger.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chicago where Mr. Christensen had resided for 90 years.
