Earl Kenneth Rasmussen

Earl Kenneth Rasmussen, age 86, formerly of 626 Lincoln St. Ripon, died Monday morning, January 28, 2002, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.

He was born July 27, 1915, in Waupaca, the son of Nels Frederick and Nettie (Anderson) Rasmussen. After graduating from Waupaca High School, he later served in the United States Army from 1942-45. He then became a florist/horticulturist, and worked at Kraemer's Florist in Neenah. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Christison on July 19, 1950. He and his wife, Betty, operated Betty's Floral Shop at their 626 Lincoln St. residence. Earl later worked at Triarch Inc. in Ripon. He was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, Oshkosh Earth Science Club, Ripon Stamp Club, and Ripon Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of the Markesan Resident Home, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harold Rasmussen.

Funeral services for Earl K. Rasmussen will be Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. Karen Gygax-Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials to the South Woods Park Association, Ripon.
