Earl L. Young, age 73, of Green Lake, WI, died Monday, January 13, 1997, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 30, 1923, in Elgin, IL. He is the son of Leo and Mildred (Schmidt). Earl was educated in Elgin and served in WWII from 1943 – 1946. He worked for Chicago Rawhide and was supervisor for Gerbing Manufacturing in South Elgin. Earl married Virginia Riege on August 26, 1988. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s Senior Bowling League in Green Lake.
Earl is survived by his wife, Virginia Ash-Young of Green Lake; two sons, Dennis (Irene) Stewart, James Young, both of Elgin, IL; one daughter, Linda (Frank) Arnold of Sessor, IL; one step-son, Maurice (Vicki) Ash; two sisters, Charlene Bellrichard of Algonquin, IL, Marilyn Swanson of South Elgin; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private visitation was held and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Elgin, IL.
