Edgar Herman Gneiser, age 90, of 578 Eureka St., Ripon, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Tower View Villa in Rosendale.
Edgar was born June 16, 1915, in Ripon, the son of Herman and Ida (Dumdie) Gneiser. He graduated from Ripon High School. On October 4, 1941 he married Mary Cluppert, at Our Saviours United Church of Christ. Edgar served our country in the U.S. Army during the WWII. He worked at Speed Queen in the Tool Room for 37 years. He was a life long member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, as well as an usher and a church greeter for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpenter work.
Survivors include; brother, Nelson of Ripon; brother-in-law, Ervin Cluppert of Markesan and sister-in-law, Elsie Burt of Ripon and nieces and nephews. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation for Edgar Gneiser will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
Funeral Service for Edgar Gneiser will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
