Edison E. Koplin, age 68, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 1984 at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Edison was born on October 9, 1915 in Green Lake, WI, the son of William and Emma (Steinke) Koplin. He was educated in Green Lake and Ripon, and was a farmer all his life. On August 12, 1939 he married Erma Dahms.
Edison is survived by his wife, Erma; two sons, Norman Koplin and James Koplin both of Ripon, WI; three grandchildren; two brothers, Aldon Koplin of Fairwater, and Clarence Koplin of Ripon, WI; three sisters, Elsie Krueger of Ripon, WI, Erna Weich of Princeton, WI, and Delores Ingersol of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation for Edison will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 1984 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Edison will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 1984 at the Chapel of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Interment will follow at Reeds Corners Cemetery, Town of Metomen, WI. A memorial has been established.
