Edith Searle, age 63, of Ripon, WI passed away on Sunday, February 17, 1957 at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Edith was born in Montello, WI on October 14, 1893, the daughter of Charles and Adelle (Turner) Butler. She was educated at Montello High School and went on to Ripon College. On January 28, 1922 she married Ray E. Searle, who passed away in June 1947. Edith was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Mrs. James Helf of Raveena, OH; three grandsons, Danny, Kim, and Michael Helf; and a brother, Walter Butler of Port Angeles, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adelle Butler; and husband, Ray Searle.
Visitation for Edith will be held from 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 1957 until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 1957 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Edith will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 1957 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
