Edith F. Whitlock, age 87, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.
Edith was born November 1, 1926, in Rosendale Center, the daughter of Fred and Alvenia (Miller) Dahlke. On October 5, 1973, she was united in marriage to Eddie D. Whitlock in Chicago, IL. During World War II, Edith worked at Speed Queen, banding shells. She also worked as a picker/packer of orders for GC Electronics. Edith was a member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun, WI.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Special friend, Faye) Dahlke, Mayville, WI, Donley “Hans” (Dawn) Nichols, Lomira, WI; step-son, Anthony Whitlock, Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren, Danny, Josh, Matt, Chris, Andrew, Holly, Stephanie, Stephen, and Megan; eleven great-grandchildren, Rae Anna, Alisa, Barrett, Kailyn, Skyler, Gwenevere, Noah, Elijah, Dawson, Jamison, and Evelyn; sister, Ruth Malzhan; sister-in-law, Helen Dahlke, Waupun, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie “Dale” Whitlock; three brothers, Earl, Laurence, and Fritz Dahlke; sister-in-law, Margaret Dahlke, and brother-in-law, Vernard Malzhan.
Visitation for Edith Whitlock will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 549971.
Funeral Service for Edith Whitlock will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Pastor Mike Stock will officiate. Interment will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosendale Cemetery, in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial is being established.
