Edna Baker, age 96, formerly of Ripon, died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, at Michalenes in Ripon.
She was born December 23, 1901, in Markesan, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Jahnke) Fox. She received her education in Markesan, and had lived in Ripon since 1919. On September 1, 1938, she married Earl Edward Baker, and he passed away on September 20, 1985. Edna worked for many years as a telephone operator for North-West Telephone Company in Ripon. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.
She is survived by I brother, Wilbur Fox of Ripon, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, I brother and I sister.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 1998, from 10 until 11 AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 AM at the church with the Reverend David Busker officiating. Interment will be in Bluffton Cemetery, Town of Brooklyn in Green Lake County. A Memorial has been established for Immanuel United Methodist Church.
