Edna Kelm

Edna J. KeIm, 87, of Green Lake, and currently of Touchstone of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 6, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.


She was born September 28, 1912, in Brooklyn Township, a daughter to Henry and Ida (Luedtke) Deibert. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. She graduated from Green Lake High School and Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and was a school teacher for 19 years in Hortonville, Milwaukee and Green Lake. On July 22, 1951, she married Harold J. Kelm, and was a housewife and helped Harold on the farm. Edna was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Peace Ladies Aid, and at one time, church organist. She was also secretary of Branch #867 of the A.A.L.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn (Scott) McN inch of Fond du Lac and Mary (Thomas) Blonigen of Eldorado, and four grandchildren, and one brother, Karl Deibert of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold on Ma ch 27, 1996, one brother Harvey (Lucille) Deibert, two sisters; Ely (Edward) Ludjack and Helen (Walter) Seehaver.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 10, 2000 at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake, with the Reverend Alvin R. Aichele officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Dayton Cemetery in the Town of Princeton. Memorials will go to Peace Lutheran School in Green Lake.
