Edna Lillian Motley, age 83, of Russell Manor, Ripon, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 5, 2003, at her home.
Edna was born September 13, 1920, in Poplar, WI, a daughter of Hjalmar and Hilda (Maki) Berglund. She graduated from Poplar High School and Briercrest Bible Institute in Saskatchewan, Canada. Edna was married to Charles M. Motley on July 28, 1962. They resided in Union Grove, and she moved to Green Lake and Ripon during her later years. Edna was a home missionary and homemaker. She was a member of Hillside Assembly Church (Ripon Assembly of God).
Survivors include; one son, Jim (Sharon) Motley of Ripon; two sisters, Ellen Hegdahl of South Range, WI and Dorothy Gonschorek of Middle River, WI; one brother, Edgar Berglund of North St. Paul, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Roy Berglund.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2003, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 until the time of service, at Hillside Assembly, Ripon. Rev. Donald Deike will officiate. Interment will be at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Memorials may be directed to the Gideons.
