Edna Welles, age 72, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, September 25, 1987 at her home.

Edna was born on September 27, 1914, in Adams County, the daughter of Emil and Blanche (Murray) Nelsen. She married Theodore Welles on August 15, 1931. Edna worked at the restaurant Pizza Bowl in Ripon for 20 years. She was a member of United Church of Christ in Rosendale.

Survivors include her sons, Sidney and Lynn of Rosendale; daughters, Jean Zimmermow of Rosendale, Ann Riedeman of Ripon and Ruth Bernstein of Nederland, Co; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Nelsen and Roger Nelsen of Nekoosa; and sister, Grace Shep of Oshkosh. She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore and her parents.

Visitation for Edna will be held from 6-8:00 pm, on Sunday, September 27, 1987, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral Service for Edna will be held at 8:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 1987, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend Gordon Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale. A memorial has been established for Hospice.
