Edna M. Wissing, age 101, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin.
Edna was born on January 3, 1912, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Adam and Wilhelmina (Raebel) Reith. On September 2, 1933, she married William John Wissing at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Milwaukee. Edna was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Survivors include four children, Kathleen Schmid of Greenfield, WI, Ellen (Ed) Formiller of Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Ann Russell of Genesee Depot, WI and Richard (Ana Maria) Wissing of Sarasota, FL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and she is further survived by other friends and relatives. Edna was preceded her parents, husband, William and two sons-in-law, Delmer and Gerard. Edna was the last surviving of eleven children.
Visitation for Edna will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 9 – 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Edna will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will take place at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to the Senior Citizen Civic Center of Green Lake, 446 Scott St. Green Lake, WI 54941 or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, P.O. Box 215 Green Lake, WI 54941.
