Edward F. Peterson, 83, of 991 Woodridge Dr., Rochester Hills, MI, formerly of Green Lake, entered into Eternal Life on August 2, 2006.
He was born November 9, 1922, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Edwin and Frances (O'Connor) Peterson. After graduating from DeLaSalle High he attended St. Thomas College of Minnesota. Mr. Peterson also served in the U.S. Navy. On September 6, 1947, he married Mary A. Stewart in Minneapolis. Edward worked as a National Sales Manager for Victor Comptometer in Chicago, Illinois for 35 years. For the last 20 years, he had lived in Green Lake and wintered in Mazatlan, Mexico. Mr. Peterson was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake.
Survivors include his children, Catherine Peterson of Telluride, CO, John (Lisa) Peterson of Bemidji, MN, James (Amy) Peterson of Rochester Hills, MI, Mary Rowley of Green Lake and Edward Peterson of Green Lake; 12 grandchildren, Phillip Peterson, Tara Peterson, Jonathan Rowley, Nick Rowley, Samantha Rowley, Mitchell Rowley, Katie Peterson, Jesse Peterson, Elan Price, Noah Price, Calen MaCracken and Ian MaCracken; and 1 great-grandchild, Ashley Peterson; Juan Sanchez of Mazatlan, Mexico, who was like a son to Mr. Peterson, and brother, John (Monica) Peterson of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mary of 54 years.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Edward. Peterson will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Philip Krogman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Inurnment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
