Edwin H. Hilke, age 66, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 1986, at Ripon Memorial Hospital following an accident on his farm.
Edwin was born April 13, 1919, in Green Lake County, WI, the son of August and Martha (Kobernick) Hilke. He was educated at the McConnell School. Edwin married Irene Lind on November 24, 1945. He worked as a crop and dairy farmer. Edwin was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a past member of the church council. He was a member of National Farmers Organization and past president and presently a Town Supervisor for the Town of Brooklyn.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Duane of Prairie Du Chien and Daryl of Ripon; two daughters, Darlene (David) Patchett of Green Lake and Doreen (Douglas) Curtis of Green Lake; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and three sisters, Elaine (Ed) Priebe of Ripon, Ruth (Ira) Hutchison of Ripon and Laura (Alvin) Rudy of Princeton and one brother, Eldon of Maryland.
Visitation for Edwin will be held on Thursday, April 10, 1986, from 3 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Edwin will be held on Friday, April 11, 1986, at 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
