Edwin Peppler

Edwin Peppler, age 68, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 1991, at his residence.

He was born November 4, 1922, in Fisk, a son to Casper and Katherine (Weber) Peppler. On March 29, 1947, he married Donna Rose. Mr. Peppler was a farmer and had lived in the Pickett area all his life. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett and was formerly on the Church Board. He was a member of the Pickett Lions and was the club’s first President. He was a member of Winnebago County Board on Aging, past member of Pickett Co-op Board of Directors, former Supervisor of Utica Town Board and was a past Director of the Rosendale State Bank.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Scott (Patricia) of Fort Benning, GA; Bruce (Patti) of Pickett and Brian (Annette) of Ripon; four grandchildren, William, Brett, Emily and Matthew Peppler; four sisters, Ruth of Baraboo, Kathryn of Milwaukee, Lydia of FL and Lea of Oshkosh; five brothers, Frederick of Milwaukee, Adolph of Janesville, Emanuel of Oshkosh, David of SC and Rueben of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Peppler will be held Sunday, 7, 1991, at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pickett. The Reverend Alvin Aichele will officiate. Interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Town of Utica. Friends may call Sunday from noon until the hour of services at the church. Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in his name.
