Eileen Marquardt, age 85, of Princeton, died on November 23, 2005 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Eileen was born on February 8, 1920 to Reinhold and Dora (Reetz) Dumke in the Township of St. Marie. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Princeton. Eileen graduated from Princeton High School and attended a beautician school in Milwaukee and then returned to practice her training in Green Lake. She married Lloyd Marquardt on April 20, 1941. While Lloyd was abroad during WWII Eileen enjoyed working for the late Mr. Ed Mevis at Farmers Merchant Bank. Following the war, she returned to the full time job of making a home for their growing family. Later in life Eileen filled her days with volunteer work for African missions and for the teachers of St. Johns Lutheran School.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine (Robert) Ferber, three granddaughters; Mellissa Jacobsen and her son Cole (great-grandson), Rebecca Marquardt all of Milwaukee, and Elizabeth Ferber of New York City. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, her husband, and four of her children; Warren, Deborah, Amy and infant Brenda.
A service of praise and thankfulness for our Lords gift of salvation will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Princeton on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert Pless officiating. Interment will be in Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Eileen would be thankful for memorials to St. Johns Lutheran School tuition assistance fund or Pastor Mark Jeskes, Time of Grace Ministry aired on Channel 18 at 8 A.M. Sunday mornings.
